Print inspired by medieval European books of hours, which were prayer books, calendars, and documents of astrological information.

A multi-color screenprint printed with handmade inks derived from plants. Part of research and study around creating and working with earth-based art materials. The colors in this print are made from natural dyes that have been thickened with sodium alganate, which is extracted from seaweed.

The red is made from madder root and seaweed.

The gold is made from marigold and seaweed.

The green is made from indigo, black walnut, marigold, and seaweed.

The blue is made from indigo, black walnut, and seaweed.
