Transitional Spaces

There is a tension between the built and the natural. I yearn for the natural, the unobstructed, un-destroyed. However, there are certain qualities the built environment can rest in that makes it feel like a system of mountains, or a cluster of bramble, or a pile of stone. On the other side, there is a tension point in the natural world that feels constructed, engineered, designed. This series explores these points of tension. Cyanotype prints made from photographic negatives. 2010.
